About This Site

Quebec Tax Calculators is an independent project built to give Quebec residents access to free, accurate tax and financial calculators. It is not a corporation, accounting firm, or government service. The calculators are designed to be straightforward: no upselling, no lead generation, no email capture.

The site covers the taxes and financial decisions that affect Quebec residents most: land transfer tax when buying a home, income tax and payroll deductions, mortgage calculations, Quebec sales tax, RRSP and TFSA savings. All tools are free and run entirely in your browser.

How We Calculate

Rates and brackets are sourced directly from official published tables:

  • Federal income tax brackets, QPP and EI rates, and RRSP/TFSA limits: Canada Revenue Agency and Retraite Quebec
  • Quebec provincial income tax, QST, and QPIP: Revenu Quebec
  • Land transfer tax brackets: municipal and provincial sources, including individual municipal bylaws where applicable
  • CMHC mortgage insurance premiums: CMHC official rate tables

All calculations run entirely in your browser. No data you enter is collected, stored, or sent to any server.

Our Commitment to Accuracy

Brackets and limits are reviewed and updated each January when new rates are published. Where rates change mid-year, we update as soon as the official tables are available. Specific update dates are noted in the footer of each calculator.

If you spot an error or a rate that appears out of date, the sources listed below let you verify the figures directly against the official tables.

Not Professional Advice

Results produced by these calculators are estimates for informational and illustrative purposes only. They do not account for every personal tax situation, income source, deduction, or credit that may apply to you. Before making financial decisions — including buying a home, filing a tax return, or planning retirement savings — confirm the figures with a qualified notary, accountant, mortgage broker, or tax professional.
